Task 2 SHADOWS
Complete the Worksheet as instructed by your teacher.
The goal of this exercise to understand how to create SHADOWS using a grey lead pencil from a specified light source.
It is also important to begin to understand how shadow is used to make forms look realistic and give them a relationship with surfaces.
TIP: use guidelines to construct a shadow area. As in the tone exercise build up the shadows slowly - DON'T press heavy with the pencil to try and get a dark shadow in one 'pass'.
Work over an area several times to build up the tone.
Try to avoid the need to use and eraser.
