Task 5 ISOMETRIC Drawing
Next-to-do on the drawing list is the Paraline drawing systems.
Paraline drawing are so called because they are constructed using sets of parallel lines.
The two that we use in VisComm are Isometric and Planometric.
This task is all about the Isometric.
Isometric is constructed with starting angles of 30/30. To draw this we can use the aid of a set square and a drawing board. It work like the animation below.

Using a drawing board and a 30/60 set square complete worksheet 5A - a camera drawn isometric. The measurements are on the worksheet.
-
Draw an overall rectangular solid first using the measurements on the worksheet
-
Add the details to the shape by projecting the measurements around and inside the basic solid.
-
Use an ellipse template to draw the circles

Isometric drawings are great for drawing objects such as furniture and simple man made objects. Iso metric literally means equal measurement - so you can measure depth, height and width distances along the three axes of a shape drawn in this system.
